Job Description:
Perform assignments as a member of a group or crew engaged in the setup of a forging press.
This is a direct hire opportunity for the successful candidate with the opportunity for advancement along with comprehensive benefits package.
Responsibilities:
Perform setups at all stations of the forging operation in accordance to setup cards.
Assists wherever needed during set-ups and or production.
Any other duties assigned by Supervisor or Leadsperson.
Comply with all safety requirements.
Responsible for periodic visual checks of the product during production/5S Practices and Techniques.
Knowledge of Quality Policy and how it relates to this position.
Operate heater during production.
Mixing die lube at proper ratios, apply to die lubricant per set-up card.
Load furnace during production.
Visually inspect billets prior to leading the furnace for defects.
Visually inspect Billets prior to Loading Heater for defects.
Required Skills/Abilities Availability to work all shifts.
Ability to lift a min of 80 pounds safely and correctly.
Working knowledge of machinery used in Production.
Basic knowledge of forge process.
Safety Policies.
