Quality Engineer 1



Summary


This Quality Engineer will be responsible for supporting production and continuous improvement activities within the facility, as well as support for customer and supplier nonconformities.¬  Application of proper problem-solving techniques and the selection of appropriate countermeasures are essential for these related tasks through collection, analysis, and interpretation of data¬ to drive decisions.¬  The Quality Engineer will assist with the development and maintenance of facility-level Quality Management Systems to ensure compliance to ISO 9001:2015 standards.¬  This includes the managment of necessary documentation, updates to those documents, risk analysis, mitigation and internal audit programs.¬ 



Responsibilities



  • Drive and promote a positive safety culture throughout the facility.

  • Interact with suppliers and customers on quality issues¬ and drive improvement.

  • Collect, analyze, and summarize various forms of data, with the ability to provide recommendations for improvement based on results.

  • Determine root cause and implement effective corrective actions in response to internal or external nonconformities.

  • Manage control of documentation throughout the facility.

  • Assist with conducting and reporting internal audits.

  • Drive and support continuous improvement, focusing on process, product, safety and quality.

  • Participate in relevant training to proactively build new skills that benefit the department and company.

  • Assist in capital project justifications.

  • Perform other dutiess as assigned



Desired Experience



  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

  • Fundamental knowledge and/or ability to quickly learn and apply product and process design techniques (APQP, FMEA, PPAP, Control Plans, etc.)

  • Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Excellent problem solving and organization skills, ability to multi-task

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical/engineering field

  • Co-Op experience, internship, or other experience in manufacturing environment is preferred

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
